We are considering the purchase of a Sat
TV system to take in the Camper Trailer so we can keep up with the news etc or play DVDs.
We have
inverters so a 240v decoder/box is not an issue.
I am interested in others' experiences as to good vs bad equipment (inc
TV's) and service reception.
We are looking at a Palsonic 12volt
TV but have not made any decisions as yet
Any info welcomed

Hi Jeff, we use a Palsonic 19" LCD
tv and it - like all smallish LCD's has a 12v input via an inline transformer. We have had no issues with it and would recommend it.
Our Sat box is a Strong which too is 12v so we do not need the wasteful inverter to be running to watch
tv or dvd's.
The new VAST sat
tv system is running now although only one decoder is yet available which IS 240v only. It seems to not be too reliable so a lot of caravanners are waiting until Strong can enter the market and provide a 12v box.

You might like to
check out the Kogan LED backlight LCD TVs.
Thinner than others and should be more reliable.
Kogan LED TV's
No connection, just a satisfied customer.

Thinner is not big deal must have feature, picture quality is a big deal. Kogan LED picture quality dont cut it.

You must have fantastic eyes to be able to pick a difference in picture quality, we've been using a kogan 19" for months in our van and we have a Sony Bravia at
home and I can't pick any difference the pictures
